Joy Chiremba
Founder & Registered Manager
Meet Joy, the heart and soul behind Joy Caring Services Ltd. She’s been a dedicated nurse since 1978, although nursing wasn’t initially on her radar. At a young age, with family financial pressures and the need to pay for school fees, she was faced with two options—teaching or nursing—and, naturally, nursing won the day. From there, she found her true calling: caring for others, especially the elderly in her close-knit community.
Joy’s career began with general nursing, midwifery, and community nursing. She then climbed the ranks to become the lead matron of a 435-bed hospital. When she moved to the UK in 2000, she refreshed her studies, registered with the NMC, and joined Jewish Care, where she quickly moved up from nurse to registered manager and, eventually, to area manager. She spent 17 fulfilling years with the organization.
After the heartbreaking loss of her husband in 2008, Joy realized she had a greater calling to help her community in a more personal way. In 2013, Joy Caring Services Ltd was born, bringing her vision of compassionate, community-focused care to life.
Joy’s core belief is that everyone deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, and kindness. Growing up in a family that valued independence and care, she’s always carried these values with her, and they’ve shaped how she leads her team and interacts with her clients. She’s passionate about empowering others and fostering a work culture where everyone feels appreciated and supported.
When she’s not leading her amazing team, you’ll find Joy connecting with people, embarking on exciting travel adventures, and diving into new cultures. She firmly believes in the power of integrity, both personally and professionally—she’s not one for lies and dishonesty! Joy believes life would be far more enjoyable if we all lived with honesty, and she does her best to practice that every day.
As a mother of two and the leader of a team, Joy understands that mistakes happen. But she knows that honesty and trust are the keys to solving any problem. She’s committed to creating a safe space where everyone feels comfortable being open and honest, because that’s how we grow and improve together.
A final note from Joy
Here’s the thing: life’s too short to take it too seriously. Running a care service with respect and dignity is a big deal, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun along the way! A smile, a good laugh, and maybe a cup of tea go a long way, especially when you’re surrounded by such incredible people. So, while we don’t expect perfection, we’ll always find a way forward with kindness and a little humor.
Nadine Morris
Care Manager - Domiciliary Care
With over 23 years of experience in the care industry, Nadine is a seasoned pro who’s seen it all (and probably fixed it too!). She started her career in domiciliary care and at Lister Hospital, where she trained to be a nurse before starting her family. While she didn’t complete her nursing training, the skills and knowledge she gained have been crucial in shaping her approach to delivering outstanding care. Nadine now shares her wealth of experience with the team, helping them deliver the best care possible to every client.
Nadine thrives on being hands-on, and believes that personal touch is important. She loves helping others and truly empathises with every individual she cares for. Her job is not just a job—it’s a rewarding part of her life, and she wouldn’t want to be doing anything else (unless someone offered her a full-time holiday in the Mauritius, but who wouldn’t?).
A self-confessed stickler for timekeeping (but in the most delightful way!), Nadine ensures that clients are seen on time and that her team stays on track, keeping everything running like a well-oiled machine. Nadine is always looking to improve, and she’s completed various training courses, becoming a Dementia Champion and studying palliative care to ensure she’s ready for anything that comes her way.
When she’s not helping others, you’ll find Nadine spending time with her family and friends, planning her next holiday adventure, or happily singing along to her favourite tunes (don’t worry, she keeps it to a solo performance, but she promises the car doesn’t mind).
Precious Chitambo
Office Manager / Supported Living Care Manager
With over 24 years of experience in the healthcare sector, Precious is the powerhouse who strongly contributes towards keeping things running smoothly at Joy Caring Services. As both the Office Manager and Supported Living Care Manager, she ensures that everything from behind-the-scenes admin to hands-on care runs like clockwork. When it comes to leadership, Precious knows that growth is a constant journey—she’s currently working towards her Level 5 in Management and Leadership certification because she believes there’s always room to become an even better version of yourself (and let's be honest, who doesn’t love learning something new?).
Her leadership style is built on the foundations of compassion, kindness, and person-centred care. Precious is passionate about working with people from all walks of life, making sure that each individual receives care tailored to their unique needs. Whether it’s motivating the team or ensuring the highest standards of care, she leads with empathy and a relentless focus on doing things right.
When Precious isn’t running operations, you’ll find her with a good book in hand, cooking up something new in the kitchen, or enjoying a little bit of everything musically (her playlist is a true reflection of her varied interests—anything from jazz to pop!). She believes that life is about balance—staying grounded in her values while embracing the exciting, ever-changing rhythm of life.
